It's that time of the year once again. And I am loving it! Strangely, I found myself waking up super late this morning. I began this lovely day that only comes once a year by watching something that I thought would scare the crap out of me. It is currently the number one movie in America and people are unable to sleep for weeks after seeing this movie. That's right, you know what I'm talking about: Paranormal Activity. Now, being the scaredy cat that I am who hates horror movies to the point where Shaun of the Dead scared me (yes, I had nightmares for a week after watching Shaun of the Dead in film's class last year) I was SOOOO disappointed in this movie. Okay, let me just come out and say I watched this movie at home with the original ending. I was into the movie for maybe two minutes. I kid you not, I pushed the fast forward button after two minutes to the first night sequence. NOTHING happened. Then day comes. My sister comes in at some point and we skip to just the night sequences because I can't stand listening to these two people argue with one another and use the f word every five seconds. I'm sitting there the entire time waiting for this movie to end and Micah to friggin die. With his stupidity in this movie, he deserves to die. The only portion of this movie that I found scary was when they were watching the online video of a girl being possessed. Now, keep in mind the original ending sucked so I didn't see the theater ending which is supposedly actually scary. But the ending that I saw was horrendous. The entire movie was horrendous. I understand if some people find it creepy because at times it is. But to call it the scariest movie of the decade? Please. I've seen scarier shit on Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth.

Okay, enough of that small rant. After the horrible movie known as Paranormal Activity was finally over, I put my costume on. Since I was Alice last year and my obsession with Alice in Wonderland has only been increasing, it made sense to be my favorite character: Hatter. I'm thinking about changing my ID with a picture of me as Hatter but I'm too tired to do it now. So anyway, I dress up as Hatter and my family hits the streets. It was strange because there weren't that many people out. Then it started to rain off and on. But it was a good time none the less.

We then went to someone's house where they hire professionals to scare the crap out of you as you walk into a small haunted house. It wasn't as fun as the last time I went where I met a fellow anime fan (who was one of the actors) and had him show me an elaborate collection of tattoos of anime characters. But it was still fun. Then we went out to eat with our costumes still on. Yeah.

So I am now home. I have just finished watching Nightmare Before Christmas while at the same time watching the Ghost Hunters marathon. My cat is currently having a dream of some sort as her ears and tail twitch. Then, the most incredible thing happened. Okay, it isn't the most incredible thing but it is still awesome. A sneak peak of the new Alice scifi miniseries comes on. Now, beforehand, an article stated Alice has a boyfriend. But the FIRST thing they mention is that there is a love triangle in this series. And guess who happens to be a part of that love triangle? Of course it is none other than Hatter himself! Then they show us a clip of Alice and Hatter about to kiss! Am I excited? HELL YEAH I AM! And Hatter better get his girl by the end of it!

The Hatter/Alice thing is the only reason why I am writing this journal. But everyone else, have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!
